‘Samvaad’ (Conversations) seeks to foster dialogue among communities residing in an Economically Weaker Section (EWS) housing in Ahmedabad. It critically examines how current open spaces fail to serve their intended purpose, leaving no room for community interaction.
The program is tailored based on the needs of housing residents, comprising a health clinic, an Anganwadi (childcare center), a small library, and a market space. The design integrates these programmatic elements to connect and activate the public open spaces within the scheme.
Innovative design interventions aim to enhance existing contexts, exploring how intermediate spaces can facilitate meaningful dialogue (‘samvaad’).
